INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES

Taking care of yourself and your family is taking care of your community.

If you do not have symptoms of COVID-19 and can come to school:

1. Practice physical distancing when able.
2. Wash your hands regularly with soap and warm water.
3. Respect others' decision to wear or not to wear a mask.

Our teachers and staff will be reinforcing these routines and practices. 

Pullman Public Schools will continue to work with state and regional health experts to address and plan for the most recent trends regarding the pandemic.

Washington State Department of Health (DOH) Updated Guidance to Prevent and Respond to COVID-19 in K-12 Schools

The Washington state Department of Health (DOH) Guidance to Prevent and Respond to COVID-19 in K-12 Schools and Child Cares has been updated as of October 25, 2022 and goes into effect on November 1, 2022. Many of the K-12 and child care COVID-19 guidance requirements have shifted to recommendations.

DOH created talking points and additional information that summarize the updated guidance. Below are links to the talking points and additional information:

 The Whitman County Health Department has provided a link that updates Whitman County residents on our area’s CDC COVID Community Level. https://www.whitmancountypublichealth.org/case-data.html   

 Pullman School District will consider COVID community levels when making decisions about when to add or layer COVID-19 prevention strategies.

Rescission of COVID-19 Emergency Proclamations and State of Emergency

COVID-19 vaccination requirements for health care and education workers will end on October 31st this includes employees, volunteers, and indoor contractors in educational settings.

• Care Connect Washington

Care Connect Washington offers food, personal care kits, and financial assistance to people who need to isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19. These services help people stay home when sick, which helps to slow the spread of illness. People who need help should call the COVID-19 Information Hotline at 1-800-525-0127, then press #. Language assistance is available. The hotline hours are 6 am to 10 pm on Mondays and 6 am to 6 pm on Tuesday through Sunday and observed state holidays.
